BMV-VET is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe online experience. This Privacy Policy governs how BMV-VET collects, uses, stores, and shares your data when you use our website (bmv-vet.com) and related services. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices.
1. Definitions
- Data: Includes both Non-Personal Information and Personally Identifiable Information.

- BMV-VET/we/us/our: Refers to BMV-VET and its subsidiaries.
- Site: BMV-VET’s website at bmv-vet.com, plus related blogs, mobile sites, online services, and applications.
- You/your: The individual or entity using or visiting the Site.
2. Information Collected & Consent
You do not need to provide PI to browse public parts of the Site. However, PI may be required to access certain products/services (e.g., booking, purchases).
A. Personal Data You Provide
We collect PI when you:
- Use our platform or Services (e.g., scheduling, consultations).
- Fill out forms (online/offline) or apply for products/services.
- Communicate with us (email, phone, text, etc.).
- Process payments (e.g., credit card/banking info).
- Participate in BMV-VET activities or authorize third parties to share your data.
Collected PI may include:
- Identifiers (name, address, email, phone, IP address, government IDs).
- Customer support details, employment/education info (if applying for a job at BMV-VET).
- Browsing activity, order history, payment data, geolocation, and device info.
- For smart visualization devices: Network details, OS, device IDs, screenshots/videos, or verbal communications (some data excluded if you adjust privacy settings).
By providing PI (including others’ PI), you confirm you have the right/authority to do so and consent to our use of the data as outlined here.
B. Automatically Collected Information
We may collect data automatically when you use the Site:
- System/Device Info: Browser type, OS, device ID, and equipment used to access the Site.
- IP Address & ISP: Your IP address and internet service provider/mobile carrier name.
- Browsing/Usage Data: URLs visited before/after the Site, pages viewed, interaction time, and access times (often via cookies).
- Location Data: If your device settings allow, we may collect location info from third-party services or GPS.
- Aggregated Anonymized Data: PI converted to non-identifiable data (owned by BMV-VET for unrestricted use).
3. Cookies & Similar Technologies
The Site uses cookies and other identifiers to recognize you, remember preferences, and improve your experience. We do not store unencrypted PI in cookies or link cookie data to your PI.

We use/share your PI only as permitted by law and with your consent (where required):
A. Uses of PI

- Enhance the Site/Services (based on usage feedback).
- Fulfill products/services (process orders, bookings, or payments).
- Send updates (newsletters, surveys, service-related info) to your provided email.

- Legal/Regulatory Bodies: When required to comply with laws, court orders, or subpoenas.
- Business Transferees: In the event of a sale, merger, or acquisition of BMV-VET (PI transferred as part of business assets).
5. Retention & Storage of Personal Data
We retain your PI only as long as needed to:
- Fulfill the purpose for which it was collected (e.g., complete a transaction, provide a service).
- Comply with applicable laws (e.g., tax/legal record-keeping requirements).
We use reasonable security measures (e.g., SSL encryption for payment data) to protect stored PI. The retention period is determined by data sensitivity, legal requirements, and business needs.
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards (e.g., encryption, secure servers) to protect your PI from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no online system is 100% secure—BMV-VET is not liable for security incidents resulting from wrongful access to your data.
7. Do Not Track
Most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal, but the Site may not recognize all DNT signals. To control data collection, use browser cookie settings (see Section 3).
8. Exceptions to This Policy
This policy does not apply to information sent via:
- Email/instant messaging (e.g., AOL, Yahoo) or social media (e.g., Twitter, Facebook)—these are not secure. Do not send private PI via these channels.
9. Links to Other Sites
The Site may include links to third-party websites. BMV-VET is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or terms of these sites. Review their privacy policies before using them.
10. Age of Consent
- The Site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect PI from children under 13 (in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA). If we discover such data, we will delete it immediately.
- If you are under 18, you must have a parent/legal guardian’s permission to submit PI to the Site.
- Parents/guardians: Contact us if you believe a child under 13 provided PI—we will assist with deletion.
11. CAN-SPAM Compliance
BMV-VET fully complies with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email.
12. State/Regional Privacy Rights
A. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
Under California law, you may request:
- Disclosure of PI collected, sources of PI, and how PI is used/shared.
- Correction of inaccurate PI.
- Deletion of your PI (subject to exceptions).
- Opt-out of PI sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

B. Other U.S. States
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia may have similar rights under state privacy laws (e.g., right to access, correct, or delete PI). These rights supplement the terms here.
C. EU/UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Access to your PI and details of processing.
- Rectification of inaccurate PI.
- Erasure of PI (“right to be forgotten,” where applicable).
- Restriction of processing (e.g., if PI accuracy is contested).
- Data portability (receive PI in a machine-readable format).
- Objection to processing (e.g., for marketing) or withdrawal of consent.
- Opt-out of automated decision-making/profiling.
Cross-Border Data Transfer: Your PI may be stored/processed in the U.S. (not deemed “adequate” by the EU/UK). By providing PI, you consent to this transfer.
D. Canadian Residents (PIPEDA)
Under Canada’s PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your PI, and opt out of marketing emails (via “unsubscribe” links).
E. Nevada Residents
Nevada law allows you to opt out of PI sales (as defined by Nevada law). BMV-VET does not sell PI, but if our practices change, you may opt out by contacting us.
13. How to Submit a Privacy Request
To exercise your privacy rights (access, correct, delete PI), submit a verifiable request via:

You may authorize a third party to submit requests on your behalf (provide proof of authorization). We will verify your identity before processing requests and respond within 45–90 days (as required by law).
14. Amendments
BMV-VET may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Revisions are effective immediately upon posting to bmv-vet.com. We will notify you of material changes via email (if we have your contact info) or a Site notice.
